The Body is Not an Apology BOOK CLUB

OH, HI 2025…

We are kicking off this year off with a special book club collaboration between Expedition Courage and Disco Thrifts -two organizations united in the mission of finding creative ways to build community, invite introspection and duh, have fun while doing so. We believe in embracing who we are, feeling strong in our bodies, and letting go of harmful societal pressures. For that reason our first book selection of the year is

THE BODY IS NOT AN APOLOGY

THE POWER OF RADICAL SELF-LOVE:

BY SONVA

RENEE TAYLOR

January often brings an overload of targeted ads and messaging that make us feel like we need to change our bodies. Instead of letting corporations commodify our insecurities, this book encourages us to reject those messages and instead focus on radical self-love and acceptance. It's the perfect way to begin the year with a fresh perspective.
